The second season of Prime Video‘s apocalyptic series Fallout will now be released Tuesday, December 16 at 6 p.m. PT, a day earlier than previously announced.
The eight-episode series will still continue with one episode rolling out weekly until the season finale February 4.
The news of the early release came via a reveal on the Sphere in Las Vegas; the second season of the Emmy-winning drama series partly takes place in the post-apocalyptic “New Vegas.”
The series, based on the Bethesda Game Studios video game, is set 200 hundred years after the apocalypse, where the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.
Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias and Frances Turner star in the series that Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films produce in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
Executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy and Athena Wickham. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are executive producers, creators and showrunners. Todd Howard executive produces along with James Altman for Bethesda Softworks. Margot Lulick also executive produces.
Earlier this year, the series, which picked up 16 Emmy nominations and one one for music supervision, was renewed for a third season.
