At least 19 Emmerdale and Coronation Street characters will be caught up in the devastating stunt in the soap crossover, Corriedale.

A new trailer has revealed names including Cain Dingle, Charity Dingle, Shona Platt and Kevin Webster will feature in new scenes. We may even have a 20th name, as Chas Dingle actress Lucy Pargeter hinted she was somehow involved, while she also teased the location of the big event.

What was previously revealed was that the soap worlds collide with a deadly car pile-up, with characters including Aaron Dingle and Lisa Swain confirmed to be taking part. David Platt was also confirmed, as well as Tracy Barlow and Liam Cavanagh.

It’s been revealed there could be a death, and now David actor Jack P Shepherd has hinted more than one character will perish. The trailer was shared during ITV’s The Big Quiz on Monday night, with Jack on the panel.

He said: “People will die,” teasing more than one death. Chas actress Lucy was also on the show, and she suggested she “didn’t go anywhere” for her scenes, and hinted at meeting in the middle as opposed to either soap’s set.

Jack then hinted both sets would feature, while the trailer focused on the crash site and the hospital. Jeopardy is teased in the clip, with scenes featuring Kit Green, James Bailey, Asha Alahan, Carla Connor and Abi Webster, with Debbie Webster thought to be there too.

As for Emmerdale, joining Cain, Charity, Liam, possibly Chas, and Aaron are Sarah Sugden, Jacob Gallagher, Robert Sugden and Joe Tate. It’s clear there’s danger and panic as those at the site try to help the injured.

Kit is shown trying to control the deadly situation, while Carla is frantic as she tries to calm someone down. Shona and David appear injured at the roadside, as trainee Jacob checks on them. Similarly, paramedic Asha is helping more casualties with Cain by her side.

Does this tease who is injured? It’s safe to say there’s more than one casualty, with more details set to be revealed when the episode airs. Shona and Charity are both pregnant and are seen at the hospital.

In one moment, Charity is seen comforting Shona who looks to be in distress or pain. So has something happened? Asha, meanwhile, looks concerned about whoever she is with, who isn’t shown in the trailer. Abi and Kevin are frantically trying to find missing Debbie, so is she injured too?

Then there’s a terrified Robert who, with the help of Joe, is desperately searching for Aaron. Screaming out for Aaron, will the character find him or is Aaron hurt?

Corriedale kicks off on January 5th, with lives set to change forever. Whether there will be more characters tied into the big scenes remains under wraps for now.
