North Wales Police’s Wrexham Rural team said youths have been causing issues outside of the healthcare clinic on Smithy Lane, in Coedpoeth.

The Wrexham Rural policing team said it recently arrested a number of the same group of youths for other instances of anti-social behaviour (ASB).

The team said: “If your children are arrested, they could end up being taken to Llay Custody from which you will have to attend to pick them up and potentially sit in on a police interview as their appropriate adult.

In addition, officers will fill out the relevant paperwork which could include referrals to:

Your children’s actions could lead to housing referrals being made, this could lead to tenancies being terminated

Referrals will be submitted which could lead to Social Services visiting the parents and if needs be, taking more action following on from the initial incident

Your child’s school will be made aware of the incident via police’s new PRONTO system

“We don’t want to ruin the fun and want children to have enjoy the upcoming Christmas break, but there is a distinct difference between children having fun and children causing ASB / engaging in criminality,” the policing team said.
