Over 368,000 viewers watched the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Portugal.
An average of 368,600 viewers watched the live broadcast of Junior Eurovision 2025 on RTP1 last Saturday. This represented an average rating of 3.8% and an overall share of 11.5%.
Despite a decrease in ratings (-1.5%), share (-2.8%) and overall viewers (-143,000 viewers) from last year, the 2025 contest ranks as the second most viewed Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Portugal since the country returned to the contest in 2017.
Portugal’s viewing figures for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest are as follows:
2006: 1 million viewers – share unknown
2007: 1.09 million viewers – 28.9% share
2017: 210,000 viewers – 7.2% share
2018: 270,000 viewers – 8.0% share
2019: 350,000 viewers – 9.6% share
2021: 288,000 viewers – 8.7% share
2022: 319,000 viewers – 8.8% share
2023: 256,000 viewers – 7.3% share
2024: 511,000 viewers – 14.3% share
2025: 368,600 viewers – 11.5% share
Inês Gonçalves represented Portugal at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with “Para onde vai o amor?”. She finished 13th with 73 points.

Portugal in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Portugal debuted at the 2006 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Bucharest. The country placed second-last in 2006 and 2007 and withdrew in 2008. They did not return until 2017, when they were represented by Mariana Venâncio, who placed 14th with her song “YouTuber”. In 2024, Victoria Nicole finished 2nd for Portugal, its best-ever result in the contest.
