Chelsea have become the first club to book their place in the semi-finals of the 2025/26 Carabao Cup. The Blues certainly did not have everything their own way during Tuesday night’s clash with Cardiff, yet advanced through to the last four again under Enzo Maresca thanks largely to the impact of their substitutes. The impressive Bluebirds were on top during the first half in south Wales, yet could not beat Filip Jorgensen before Maresca – who made 11 changes from Saturday’s win over Everton – brought on Joao Pedro and Alejandro Garnacho at the interval.
