Nacon announced that its survival game, Terminator: Survivors, is delayed indefinitely. This is due to a major change they will be making to the game due to conclusions made after internal testing and feedback from fans.
What is happening with Terminator: Survivors?
In a post from Nacon Studio Milan creative director Marco Ponte, he stated that in order to create an authentic Terminator experience, they have decided “put aside the cooperative multiplayer,” making Terminator: Survivors now a single-player only experience. The studio believes “it is the right creative direction for an uncompromising vision of the world after Judgment Day.”
Nacon’s original plans were to release Terminator: Survivors in early access. However, the studio has now decided to launch the game when it is fully complete.
“We’ve also had to overhaul our release plans, instead of launching in early access, we want your first steps into the wasteland to be a complete and polished experience,” says Ponte. “You might have guessed already, but that means Terminator: Survivors won’t be launching in 2025. We don’t have a new date locked in, but we’ll let you know when we’re ready to share a new release date.”
Fans who want to give their feedback can sign up for closed playtests of Terminator: Survivors. This will give players several opportunities to check out the game before it is fully released. Anyone interested can sign up here.
Terminator: Survivors is a survival game based on the beloved Terminator film franchise. Here is a brief description of the game:
“You’ll be immersed in a bleak story where every machine patrolling the open world is a lethal threat, and the chilling sight of a T-800’s red eyes on the horizon means you run, you hide, or you die… Your journey will be one of desperation, as you explore, fight Skynet’s first prototypes, and help the resistance rise from the ashes of civilization. This isn’t just another shooter. It’s a fight for the survival of all humanity from the moment you step out of the rubble. The start of the resistance against the machines, as seen through your eyes.”
