The PNC Championship, which teams golf legends with family members, gets underway this weekend. But the PNC isn’t the only offseason event on the calendar this week. On Wednesday, golf fans will get to witness the first-ever Optum Golf Channel Games.
In the event, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and World No. 2 Rory McIlroy will captain two four-man teams through a variety of skills competitions. Those matches include a timed drive competition, a timed short game competiton, a 14-club challenge, a team relay and, finally, a one-on-one skills match between Scheffler and McIlroy.

McIlroy’s team will feature Shane Lowry, Luke Donald and Haotong Li. Joining Scheffler’s team will be Keegan Bradley, Sam Burns and Luke Clanton.
