Laceby Manor Resort has been granted planning permission for a new Indoor Padel and Golf Centre. The new development, covering more than 1,000 square metres, will feature two indoor padel courts, a café, modern changing rooms, and a golf shop selling premium brands.

It will be open to everyone in the local community, with no requirement to be a Laceby Manor member. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring, with completion targeted for later in 2026.

Laceby Manor has confirmed that local contractors will be used wherever possible. The new centre is expected to create additional jobs for local people both during construction and once operational.

Roger Burnett, Owner of Laceby Manor Resort, said: “Laceby Manor Resort is delighted to receive local authority approval for a new indoor Padel Centre. The facility will be an amazing addition to the resort’s facilities and will be available to the local community as well as visiting guests. We hope to have it up and running by the middle of 2026.”

Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, combining elements of tennis and squash in a fun, social, and accessible format. Globally, padel is now played in over 90 countries, with more than 25 million players worldwide.

In the UK, participation has grown rapidly in recent years, with the number of padel courts increasing year on year as demand continues to rise. Its appeal lies in being easy to learn, suitable for all ages and abilities, and highly social – making it a natural fit for both leisure resorts and local communities.

Set in the Lincolnshire countryside, Laceby Manor Resort is known for its championship golf course, award-winning spa, lodges, and dining. The new Indoor Padel and Golf Centre represents the latest step in Laceby Manor’s ongoing investment in its facilities.

Grimsby Live previously visited the spa at Laceby Manor Resort in 2023, about six months after it first opened. It had already been named “Best Spa in The North” by Glamour magazine when we paid a visit.

Our reporter said it “feels like a spa you’d visit in the countryside on the outskirts of London”. After enjoying a massage, a trip to the sauna, and Cold Therapy in the natural pool, as well as delicious food, she hailed it an “amazing addition to the area”.
