The Traitors season 4 truly can’t come soon enough. As fans hold out for the highly-anticipated follow-up to the chaos of last season (which featured Cosmo faves like Gabby Windey, Dylan Efron, and Bob the Drag Queen), they’ve kind of jumped the gun before the season premiere has even hit Peacock.
And by that, we mean that fans are out here guessing which celebrity contestant will be murdered based on the show’s teaser trailer. Before we get into the theories, let’s refresh our collective memory on some of this season’s deliciously chaotic cast members, shall we? Some of the celebs joining the beloved Peacock series include Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Rinna, former RuPaul’s Drag Race girl Monét X Change, and Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce.
But…which of these new faithfuls/traitors will be murdered first? According to an eagle-eyed fan on Reddit, everyone in the extended trailer is seen wearing a different outfit from the ones they wore in the first episode…save for three contestants.
That small detail could suggest that those wearing new ’fits survive the first night at the castle—which means the three contestants who aren’t spotted wearing new clothes could be in trouble. Those contestants? Former Olympic figure skater Tara Lipinski, Love Island USA’s Rob Rausch, and Big Brother’s Ian Terry.
However! In second-long clips shown in the trailer, Tara is seemingly seen on a separate mission with Real Housewives of Potomac star, Candiace Dillard Bassett. On top of that, any LIUSA devotee could recognize Rob’s snake tattoos anywhere—even when he sat next to Natalie Anderson in a separate cut.
Based on these clues, that leaves one person, who fans now think is likely the first person to be murdered this season:

Naturally, fans are distraught at the possibility of losing Ian so early on.
“My baby. My sweet. My awkward mastermind. Gone but never forgotten,” one person wrote, while another claimed they were “genuinely heartbroken.”
We’ll have to wait and see if this theory holds some truth when The Traitors season 4 premieres on January 8.
