Plans have been submitted to redevelop the area around Scarborough railway station, in a bid to create a more welcoming public space.
North Yorkshire Council said the revised application outlined a series of public realm improvements.
Known as the Station Gateway project, the first phase aims to boost access to public transport and create a more attractive environment for people arriving in the seaside town.
New outdoor seating areas, resurfaced footpaths and tree planting are part of the proposed project, along with accessible parking and improved pedestrian access to the station and nearby transport links.
