Henlopen Chiropratic officially opened its doors at the Red Mill Center near Lewes Nov. 17. The practice offers chiropractic, acupuncture and physical rehab modalities.
Dr. Debra Hobbs originally opened Henlopen Chiropractic at the Red Mill Center in 1992. After 10 years at this location, Hobbs went through a series of moves and changes before ultimately retiring due to health problems. In June 2013, Hobbs officially sold the practice to Rehoboth Beach native Dr. Tracy Hudson, who has run the business since then. In a full-circle moment, Henlopen Chiropractic returned to its original location to accommodate the growing practice.
The team at Henlopen Chiropractic delivers gentle, drug-free care through chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture and massage therapy. The approach focuses on uncovering the root of pain or dysfunction, rather than simply masking the symptoms. The practice creates individual treatment plans for each patient to restore mobility and overall wellness. With a welcoming, patient-centered atmosphere, the practice serves a broad range of ages and conditions.
“The most rewarding part is helping people, of course,” said Hudson. “When you can help get somebody out of pain, that’s amazing, especially if they have suffered for a long time.”
Hudson expressed her love for the local community she grew up in, and is thankful for the support and enthusiasm surrounding Henlopen Chiropractic.
“The support is amazing around here,” said Hudson.
