As the new year approaches, fans of period romance dramas can rejoice as Bridgerton is back on the small screen with its fourth season! With just a few weeks to go, Netflix has unveiled the latest trailer, and it looks to be as fiery as ever.
The popular series, which is based on Julia Quinn’s collection of novels, will this time focus on the complicated romance between Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).
Billed as a “fairy-tale inspired season”, the drama sees Benedict being pressured to find a wife, but his life is changed as he meets the Lady in Silver at a masked dance, who he says is “intriguing”. He also strikes up a bond with maid Sophie, unaware that they are one and the same.
The latest trailer showcases Benedict’s quest for love, while Sophie is torn over whether to reveal that she was the one under the mask. Naturally, we also get plenty of passionate scenes as usual.
“Bohemian second son Benedict Bridgerton refuses to settle down, despite pleas to the contrary from matriarch Lady Violet Bridgerton,” reads the logline. “Until, at Violet’s masquerade ball, Benedict is awestruck by a masked, mysterious Lady in Silver.

“With the reluctant help of his sister Eloise, Benedict sets out in society to uncover the young lady’s identity. But in fact, his heart’s desire is not in society at all – she is a resourceful maid called Sophie Baek, working for the formidable Lady of the house, Araminta Gun.
“When fate brings Benedict and Sophie back together, Benedict wrestles between the reality of his affection for this intriguing maid and the fantasy of the Lady in Silver – unaware that they are the same person.
“Will Benedict’s inability to see these women as one in the same derail the undeniable spark between him and Sophie? And can love truly conquer anything – even a cross-class connection forbidden by society?”
