Stoke City have ‘enquired’ about Hull City’s Cody Drameh, according to a report.
With the transfer window set to open in two days, Sky Sports reckon the Potters are one of four Championship clubs interested in the former Leeds United man.
Charlton Athletic, Preston North End and Millwall are the other clubs named
Drameh has made only 12 Championship appearances so far this season, including just nine starts and Tigers boss Sergej Jakirovic has not included him in four of the last six match-day squads.
Sky claim Drameh is ‘open’ to leaving the MKM Stadium next month, with just 18 months left on his contract and that the Tigers are also ‘open’ to his potential departure.
Drameh joined Leeds after spending time in the Fulham youth set-up and spent four years at Elland Road but played only ten games.
That was because he spent most of his time out on loan, with Cardiff City, Luton Town and Birmingham City. He helped the Hatters win promotion to the Premier League in 2023 and was doing well at Blues until Wayne Rooney replaced John Eustace, after which he was in and out of the side under a succession of managers.
Stoke are currently struggling at full back and Drameh’s experience and ability to play on either side could be attractive to Mark Robins.
Junior Tchamadeu is away at AFCON and could remain so for another couple of weeks with Cameroon looking as though they could qualify for the knockout stages.
Bosun Lawal played right back against Preston, but Aaron Cresswell picked up a knock on the left and Eric Bocat is also out.
