Clarkson’s Farm star Jeremy Clarkson has opened up about his experience using Mounjaro to support his weight loss journey, following a series heart-related health scare in 2024. Six months after starting the treatment, Clarkson has shed an impressive 3 stone and has even completely updated his wardrobe to aid his weight loss.
The 64-year-old TV personality made a strict vow to improve his health after experiencing chest tightness that led him to seek medical attention. Doctors discovered blocked arteries and he was rushed into surgery to clear them, as a result he acknowledged that he had to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
While Clarkson had already started to eat better and take care of himself, he revealed in a candid update that Mounjaro played a key role in helping him achieve his weight loss goals, the Express reports. He shared: “I’ve plateaued now. I’m still on it, but not losing any more weight – but nor am I putting any on, because it keeps my appetite level down. It really is an astonishing drug.”

Speaking to The Sun, he continued: “I can go much further, I can take the dogs out for longer now, so it keeps [Lisa] happy. I’m much healthier.” Discussing the side effects, Clarkson revealed he hasn’t experienced the more common ones, such as constipation and reduced libido.
However, his long-term girlfriend Lisa Hogan, has noticed that his mood has decreased. Clarkson admitted that he feels a “bit duller” and “not quite as sharp,” but he is happy with the progress he’s made on his health journey.
He also teased that his recent health scare will be covered in the upcoming series of Clarkson’s Farm, adding: “It’s been shocking these last 12 months, on every front. Anyone who thinks season five of Clarkson’s Farm is a barrel of laughs is in for serious disappointment.”
Clarkson has been extremely open about his health in recent years, but it was his recent heart operation that really prompted him to take drastic steps towards improving his health and wellbeing.
Initially he though he was had suffered a heart attack, which was eventually ruled out after a series of tests, including an ECG, blood test and X-rays.
Reflecting on the diagnosis in a previous interview with The Sunday Times, Clarkson explained: “It seems that of the arteries feeding my heart with nourishing blood, one was completely blocked and the second of three was heading that way.”
To address the problem doctors fitted a stent to help keep his artery open.
However, this was not Clarkson’s first health scare, as in 2017 he was diagnosed with pneumonia. This prompted him to quit smoking after previously smoking 40 cigarettes a day for over 43 years.
