Trisha Goddard has revealed that her cancer has not advanced to her brain. The talk show legend was diagnosed with incurable stage four breast cancer three years ago, having beaten it in 2008.

Trisha revealed that she was undergoing MRI and CAT scans as part of her ongoing treatment for her cancer, as well as frequent blood tests. But she has now “thanked heavens” after receiving the results of her latest scan.

The results confirmed that her cancer has not spread to her brain. In her latest post, Trisha was seen dancing and smiling from ear to ear while in front of her Christmas tree. She said: “It’s how my Oncology team keep keeps tabs on all those little f***er cancer cells they’re constantly playing Whack-A-Mole with!

“Depending on results, my treatments and medications are constantly changed to outwit them. Thank heavens, I got my results about an hour after my scan via a special app on my phone because I can’t imagine having to go into the New Year full of angst waiting for them… and my heart goes out to all of you who are currently having to go through that.

“The good news for me is that I have something to celebrate tonight! Big thanks (again!) to the technicians, radiologists, doctors and staff at my Radiology Imaging/MRI centre for whom NYE and NYD is just business as usual…”

Trisha continued: “P.S. I believe passionately in what I call ‘joined up’, and patient-centred cancer services. When I was in London recently I got together with fellow metastatic breast cancer thriver, Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Prevention @ashleydalton_mp to discuss how I can get involved with the upcoming Cancer Plan…What a woman! (Stay tuned for a post about that!)”

Over the festive period, the former Celebrity Big Brother star shared her happiness having celebrated her 68th birthday. She said: “If dem ask me how me feel turning 68 today & living with metastatic breast cancer,” as she was seen dancing around celebrating her big day.

Trisha is also living with Raynaud’s syndrome, which restricts blood flow to her fingers and toes. Speaking previously about her terminal diagnosis, Trisha said on social media: “When you first hear those words, ‘Your cancer has come back’ and every time you look at the news, your eye seems to be drawn to the words cancer and terminal, you think that’s it, but scientists and the Medical world have re-classified metastatic cancer to being a life limiting illness, for good reason.”

Prior to entering the Celeb Big Brother house, Trisha underwent a course of chemotherapy before flying to the UK just 24 hours before entering the house. Shortly after landing, she had an ultrasound scan to give her the once-over and ensure that she wasn’t dealing with deep vein thrombosis.

However, bosses on the show went all out to ensure that Trisha was comfortable during her stay. But she hadn’t expected them to go the extra mile; instead, she believed she would just get a curtain around her bed. “I thought I was going to get – ooh – a bed with a curtain, but amazingly they decided I should have my own bedroom, loo and bathroom, which I genuinely wasn’t expecting,” she told the Mail.
