Emma Raducanu is back representing Team GB as she gets her 2026 tennis season underway. The Brit will team up with Billy Harris at the United Cup after Jack Draper was forced to withdraw due to an arm injury.

Raducanu will return to the hard courts for the first time this year as she takes on Naomi Osaka and Maria Sakkari in her two singles matches. Great Britain are in the Perth-based Group E alongside Japan and Greece, meaning Harris will face Stefanos Tsitsipas and Shintaro Mochizuki in his games.

Here, we have all of the information on exactly when Raducanu is playing and how to watch the action unfold.

When is Emma Raducanu playing in the United Cup?

Raducanu will face Osaka in the first of two singles matches on Sunday, January 4, 2026 with both stars heading to the court for 3:30am UK time. Next up is world No. 52 Sakkari on Monday, January 5 at 10:30am UK time.

The two mixed doubles matches will also take place on both of these days, with Japan on January 4 and Greece the following day. Raducanu and Harris have the opportunity to be selected for either of these, but it is unlikely, given that fellow Team GB stars Neal Skupski and Olivia Nicholls are experienced doubles players.

How to watch the United Cup

The United Cup will be screened live on Sky Sports, which holds the rights to the tournament.

While Raducanu defeated both Osaka and Sakkari in 2025, the 23-year-old is certaintly not counting her chickens against the duo. Speaking ahead of the tournament, she said: “I played both of them last year. Really difficult.

“Obviously Naomi had a great end to the season as well. I’m expecting tough ones. Yeah, just hope to give it all and do my best.”

In previous years, the British No.1 has begun her season in Auckland but decided to change her schedule for 2026. Raducanu said: “I think it’s a great way to start the year being part of a team environment.

“It’s a little bit easier to kind of settle into the year, which is so competitive and individual. It’s nice to share this with the team.

“We all get on really well and have been having a great time off the court and on the court. It’s nice to be a part of that, and it’s such a change from what we usually do.”
