Super League will have three new sides in the top flight this year, with the league restructuring to add two more teams into the competition.

Salford’s relegation means that Bradford Bulls take their place, with IMG points seeing them through, whilst York Knights and Toulouse Olympique making up the 13th and 14th spot.

The upcoming campaign looks to be ultra competitive at both ends of the table, with all teams having something to play for in 2026.

We asked Serious About Rugby League readers how they think the three promoted sides will do this year, and whilst arguments were made for each club, it’s fair to say there was one clear favourite.

Responding on Facebook, it was York Knights who were mentioned the most, with 32 of the 61 responses going in their favour. Bradford followed closely with 25 comments, whilst Toulouse weren’t given as much chance, receiving four comments. *Tally correct at time of writing

Obviously, we will have to wait until the on-field action begins to see how each team will properly fare, but it’s clear there is a favourite amongst the promoted sides, with Mark Applegarth’s side tipped to do best.

Rugby League fans predict York Knights to finish highest of three promoted sides

Brian Orchard: York have made some great signings for the coming season. It will all depend which of the 3 clubs pick up the least injuries to their top players

Paul Walton: Hopefully York as there’s zero pressure on them. They haven’t been in Super League before and the last time they were in the top flight was in the old winter days

Peter Brookes: York Knights by a country mile

Tom Benson: York Knights RLFC will be the strongest

John Mann: Toulouse will surprise a few teams.

Paul Hugh McGuigan: York or Toulouse

John Just: Hopefully my beloved Bradford Bulls, but I expect all three will struggle for the season coming to be honest

Steve Speight: Bulls 100%
