New club Salford RLFC have under two weeks to form a full team and a head coach but they’ve now teased some major announcements, whilst also confirming when their new head coach will be announced.
After Salford Red Devils liquidated, the new Salford entity, currently going under the moniker RLFC, were taken over by former player Mason Caton-Brown.
Ex-captain Ryan Brierley joined as CEO and despite the good faith that duo have with fans, those fans understandably want announcements given Salford are set to open the Championship season up against Oldham on Friday, 16th January.
The club have now taken to social media to tease updates in the coming days, including confirmation of when the coaching staff will be announced.
It’s been confirmed that the coaching staff will be announced on Monday, 5th January, tomorrow at the time of writing, with the club once again iterating their desire to be transparent.
Salford RLFC set for huge week of announcements
Taking to X, Salford RLFC posted an update on Saturday evening that teased news.
They said: “We know you’re keen to hear about progress…
“Well, get ready. A week of great news is coming.
“The hard work is starting to show and we can’t wait to share it with you.”
In response to a fan on a separate post, the club also confirmed that the coaching staff would be announced on Monday as they explained the delay behind any announcements.
“All being well, we will announce the coaching staff on Monday.
“We will be very open and transparent with everything but we want everything in place and done correctly before making any big announcements.
“We hope you understand and we really do appreciate your patience.”
Not only do Salford have a coaching staff and playing squad to announce, they also have a kit to launch as well, highlighting the huge task that has been undertaken since they were granted RFL membership in mid to late December.
