Chris Kavanagh will be the referee for the 2025 FA Community Shield at Wembley Stadium

The team of match officials for the 2025 FA Community Shield have been appointed ahead of the game between Crystal Palace and Liverpool at Wembley Stadium.

Taking place at 3pm (BST) on Sunday 10 August 2025 and being screened live in the UK on TNT Sports 1, the match pits Emirates FA Cup winners Palace against the Premier League champions Liverpool and it will be referee Chris Kavanagh who leads the teams out.

He will be assisted on the day by James Mainwaring and Wade Smith, with Tony Harrington as fourth official.
