A celebrity has spoken out after being inundated with messages about the possibility they are appearing on The Masked Singer.
The hit ITV guessing game returned on Saturday night for a new series and the speculation behind the identities of the new characters has already reached fever pitch.
This year’s contestants inlude Moth, Can of Worms, Red Panda, Conkers, Arctic Fox, Toastie, Monkey Business, Sloth, Garogyle and Teabag.

Sloth had caused a lot of people to point the finger at I’m A Celeb’s Sam Thompson on social media after their first performance, a lively routine featuring workout gear to Break My Stride from Matthew Wilder.
Now the Made In Chelsea star has addressed the rumours, taking to Instagram to share a clip of panellist Maya Jama discussing how she thought he was a character on last year’s show.
Sam wrote: “Looks like this is relevant again exactly a year on! apparently I’m the sloth!”
He then cheekily shared a video with his hood up with him repeatedly raising his eyebrows and smiling cheekily into the camera and a series of crying with laughter emojis.

Other guesses for Sloth include Ben Fogle, Nitro from Gladiators, Roman Kemp, Jamie Laing and Jordan North.
Disc Jockey was the first to be eliminated from The Masked Singer as The One Show host Alex Jones was reverealed to be inside the costume.
The show returns to ITV tonight at 6.30pm.
