Awards season has officially begun! The 31st annual Critics Choice Awards went down tonight in Los Angeles, and Paul Thomas Anderson took home Best Director for his critically acclaimed One Battle After Another. PTA’s popular film also won Best Picture. Amy Madigan was surprised to take home Best Supporting Actress, but the critics knew her stellar performance as Aunt Gladys in Weapons was definitely award-worthy. Meanwhile, Jacob Elordi nabbed Best Supporting Actor for Frankenstein.

On the TV side, Seth Rogen’s The Studio has already nabbed three awards, including Best Comedy, Best Supporting Actor for Ike Barinholtz (Sal Saperstein), and Best Actor for Rogen himself. Rhea Seehorn went up against some serious powerhouses, like Kathy Bates and Keri Russell, but ultimately took home Best Actress in a Drama Series for her performance in Pluribus. And speaking of powerhouses, Jean Smart has once again dominated, winning Best Actress in a Comedy Series.
