Love Island: All Stars enthusiasts have discovered the first potential drama of the upcoming series – and it hasn’t even begun broadcasting yet.

All Stars series 3 will return on Monday, January 12 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX as familiar faces from the past decade of the show return to the villa in the hopes of finding love, with a new twist “confirmed”. But for some, the Love Island drama may already have started.

Series 12 contestant Helena Ford is amongst the celebrities making a comeback to the Love Island villa next week, but there’s one specific islander she’s unlikely to spark romance with.

Following ITV’s revelation of the 2026 lineup yesterday, viewers dug up previous tweets apparently penned by Helena in which she claims series three’s Charlie Frederick ‘shut down’ her 16th birthday celebration. The duo are scheduled to be reunited in the All Stars villa within days.

In a tweet dating back to 2018, Helena seemingly posted: “Nah that Charlie Fredrick [sic] kid got my 16th party closed down, said I looked like a dolphin.”

Posting the tweet online, one fan commented: “So seems like Helena and Charlie have met. Helena tweeted this about Charlie in 2018. This tweet went viral last year. #LoveIsland.”, reports the Mirror.

Another posted on Reddit: “This is bonkers. And honestly exactly the kind of beef I want lmaooooo please let this be a major plot point it’s so bizarre and hilarious.”

A third commented: “Ok now this is the kinda foolishness I can get behind!”.

A source revealed to The Sun that the pair “went to school together and do know each other” but that Helena “doesn’t really remember why she was upset”. The Mirror has contacted Love Island and representatives for Helena and Charlie for comment.

ITV unveiled the fresh line-up for Love Island: All Stars yesterday, featuring series seven winner Millie Court, series 10 favourites Whitney Adebayo and Jess Harding, series five’s Belle Hassan, and series 11’s Ciaran Davies, all seeking another shot at love.

The cast also includes series eight contestant Jack Keating – son of Ronan – alongside series six’s Leanne Amaning, last year’s Tommy Bradley, series 11’s Sean Stone, and series nine’s Shaq Muhammad.

Iain Stirling returns as the show’s narrator, whilst Maya Jama makes her third appearance hosting All Stars. However, the 31 year old presenter was absent from yesterday’s launch event after becoming unwell.

As fresh faces prepare to search for romance, wedding preparations are underway for one ITV pair, with sheep farmer Will Young, 26, and Australian beauty Jessie Wynter, 29, announcing their engagement last month.

Sharing the joyous news on Instagram, Will disclosed his secret December proposal, posting: “The love of my life said yes. 09.12.25.”

He continued: “On the 9th of December I asked Jessie to marry me. Since then, we’ve been celebrating with each other and Jessie’s family, just us, with no outside noise, exactly how we wanted it.

“We wanted to soak up this moment together and be fully present before sharing it with the world. We still feel like we’re living in a dream. I can’t believe we’re engaged. My heart has never felt so full of love.”
