Amad has been quick to flaunt his skills as he gears up to play under a new manager at Manchester United. The winger is currently strutting his stuff at the Africa Cup of Nations while United are on the hunt for a new head coach following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim.
The 23-year-old will have certainly caught the eye of potential Old Trafford bosses after a standout performance against Burkina Faso in the last 16. Amad notched a goal and an assist, helping Ivory Coast advance in the tournament.
The United star first demonstrated his finesse with a delicate chip from close range before setting up Yan Diomande with a powerful run. So far in Morocco, Amad has chalked up three goals and one assist in just three starts.
As Darren Fletcher prepares to lead United against Burnley, discussions are already underway about who might be Amad’s next coach. United have held preliminary talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Michael Carrick and Ruud van Nistelrooy about stepping in as caretaker until the season’s end.
Amad is no stranger to any of the trio. He made eight appearances under Solskjaer, while Carrick and Van Nistelrooy were part of Erik ten Hag’s coaching team at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer appears to be the leading candidate, having expressed a keen desire to return to Old Trafford after being sacked as manager in November 2021. Currently based in Cheshire, the Norwegian’s first stint in the hot seat came when he took over as interim boss from Jose Mourinho in November 2018.
His appointment sparked a remarkable turnaround in form and secured him the role permanently on that previous occasion.
Ex-United midfielder Fletcher is currently at the helm and anticipates further discussions after his debut match in charge. “I’ve had a conversation and the focus was on this game and we’ll speak after the game,” he revealed during his press conference.

“I’ve got a game to prepare, training session to organise, speak to players. The focus has been on the Burnley match and we’ll speak after the game.”
When quizzed about whether he fancied the position long-term, Fletcher responded: “Honestly, it’s not something I’ve thought about.
“That discussion is for after the game. It’s all happened so quickly, all my concentration and efforts are going on Burnley.”
