The Traitors star Ross Garshong has given an update on his relationship with secret girlfriend Ellie Buckley following his dramatic exit. The Faithful was banished from the castle in the latest episode, having endured some heat for the past few episodes.
However, a big twist came after his exit when fellow Faithful Ellie told audiences that the pair are secretly a couple, with the other players currently unaware of their status.
Speaking on The Traitors: Uncloaked after his departure, Ross explained how the show has brought the couple even closer together.
“I’ve seen a lot more of Ellie actually, if that makes sense,” he said. “Especially relationship-wise, she’d keep her guard up quite a bit. So now I’m understanding that’s what that face means. It’s been really helpful, it’s been good.”
Speaking about the special measures they have been forced to take to keep the secret under wraps in the real world, Ross recalled: “We’ve had to leave the house at separate times.

“We went to go watch the first episode with my family together. Ellie took a big jacket and sunglasses! I get it, to be fair. We live where we live and so we don’t want people to ruin the fun. So we’ve been doing everything a bit extra. But it’s fun… you get to share in the secret.”
The star also revealed he had some suspicions that Ellie was a Traitor, while also expressing hope that she would avenge his death and win the show.
During the chat, Ross addressed his interaction with fellow contestant Netty Österberg in the first episode, in which the latter recognised him, adding to suspicions among the other Faithfuls. However, he admitted it had an added layer of awkwardness given his Ellie secret.

“The problem with that is that everyone was like, ‘Oh Ross, it looks really suspicious’, but I was like, ‘I don’t care about you lot right now. Someone who my partner has no idea who they are has just jumped into my arms’,” he shared.
“Like you guys have got the wrong priorities… It was actually genuinely innocent but it looks terrible.”
Last night’s other big reveal was the identity of the Secret Traitor, with Fiona Hughes unveiled as the contestant beneath the red cloak.
The Traitors airs on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
