We finally learn what connects Coronation Street newcomer Jodie and returning Emmerdale character Graham Foster very soon.
The link, and what led them both into the Corriedale crossover, will be confirmed onscreen, with the big twists and turns leading to a huge spring storyline on Corrie. Soap boss Kate Brooks has told The Mirror that we find out why Graham had Jodie tied up in the back of his van.
We find out what exactly led to their paths crossing, and why Jodie was left fleeing for her life before being found by Kit Green. Kate confessed: “We will reference what happened, we’ll find out exactly why she was in that van, we’ll find out what her link to Graham is.
“We’ll reveal what went on between them, and how Jodie ended up running for a life and what Graham’s role was in it all. It’s a story that goes on to be really big as we get into spring and summer.”

It comes amid her connection to Shona Platt being confirmed. Jodie is the sister of Shona, and when they finally reconnect after years apart, the soap will delve into Shona’s past.
As for Graham, his return from the dead has yet to be explained. Graham was killed off on Emmerdale in 2020, so his sudden appearance and the news he is alive has left fans baffled.
Some viewers now believe they have rumbled how he faked his death, and it could involve another character. Another theory is that it’s not the real Graham.
One fan said: “Maybe Graham isn’t Graham,” as another pointed out: “Someone said the subtitles said he was Bruce!?!” A third added: “Maybe it’s his twin brother? because last time we seen Graham he was very much dead.”

Meanwhile, some fans believe either his ex Rhona Goskirk or even Kim Tate may have been behind the secret plan to escape the village. Taking to social media one fan theorised: “My head canon, is that after he was ‘killed’ by Pierce, Graham pretended to be dead.
“Off-screen, he phones contacts, and gets them to put make up on him, making his body all pale, so he looks dead. Even that feels like a stretch, but I have no idea how they can justify keeping Graham alive.” Another fan suggested: “I have never been more confused in my life because he was definitely dead.
“I saw some people saying maybe it’s not actually Graham, maybe a twin. Another theory as you say could be a fake death, clearly, but someone somehow, Kim maybe?”
