Police are appealing for information after an 84-year-old man was killed in a car crash in West Sussex.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a BMW and a Volkswagen on the southbound carriageway of the A24, half a mile from the Washington roundabout, just before 11:00 GMT on Friday.
The driver of the BMW, an 84-year-old man from Worthing, died at the scene while the passenger, a woman aged 82, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The Volkswagen driver, a 54-year-old woman, was taken to hospital and has been discharged.
