Trusted Money Confidence was founded by executive directors Karen Badenoch and her daughter, Jessica Taylor, after their experience of tight budgeting.

Their completely free, six-week peer money confidence programme encourages insightful and open conversations about home finances, delving into 12 different topics.

The business has already seen success in Braintree after the council funded two money confidence programmes in the town centre, from which participants saw positive results.

Residents of Braintree who joined on the last two programmes managed to improve their financial situation over the period of the next year by an average of £1,800.

They also massively improved their wellbeing over just 12 hours of the programme sessions, thanks to being less stressed and worried about their finances.

Jess Taylor said: “For us, this was a winning combination, and we are excited to watch the magic happen in Braintree again.”

The business will provide a £15 supermarket voucher to each attendee for each session to help make the programme accessible.

The next programme will begin on January 14.
