The Celebrity SAS Directing Staff had to step in and “save” a celebrity after a harness mishap.

The daring Channel 4 programme made its return earlier this month, featuring a new batch of celebrities ready to face a series of gruelling challenges and intense situations.

Fourteen celebrities are attempting to complete a modified version of the SAS (Special Air Service) training under the stern supervision of former special forces members. However, it’s proving more difficult for some than others.

For the first time in the show’s history, two groups from opposite ends of the globe are featured: seven British stars and seven Australian celebs.

In tonight’s episode (January 11), the group was tasked with an urban combat escape challenge. They were instructed to cross a ladder bridge as part of their escape, but there was a twist; the ladder was suspended between two buildings, 15 metres high, and they were being shot at by enemies, reports OK!

The celebrities were advised to secure their harnesses and tie their laces tightly as they “don’t want any loose ends hanging down”, given the already perilous nature of the task.

First up was social media sensation Jack, who confessed to feeling queasy due to the height. However, it was soon revealed that he hadn’t tied his shoelace properly, leading Foxy to exclaim: “Perhaps you should have tied your shoe laces up prior”.

Despite a stern reprimand, Jack managed to pass the test. However, the directing staff had to intervene later due to a significant harness mishap.

Just moments before Axle Whitehead was set to take on the perilous challenge, Foxy spotted that the harness was not correctly fitted.

Foxy exclaimed: “Oh f***** hell death on a stick.”

Despite the potentially catastrophic implications, Axle quipped: “I knew you had it in for me.” To which Foxy retorted: “I’ve just saved your life, I don’t know why.”

The gruelling challenge left viewers “on edge”, with many expressing their horror at the task. One viewer commented on X: “I cannot do heights….my legs would just go to jelly.”

Another posted: “Not a f***** cats chance in hell would i be doing that highwire s****.”

Although the series only returned to our screens on January 4, it already seems to have been exceptionally tough, with Married At First Sight star Jessika Power, 31, being the first to exit the show just last week.

Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins continues tomorrow on Channel 4 at 9pm.
