ITV has released a fresh update concerning the postponed launch of Love Island All Stars.
The latest instalment of the hit dating show was scheduled to kick off earlier this week, but bosses were forced to delay filming over safety worries.
Catastrophic wildfires have ravaged South Africa’s Western and Eastern Cape provinces, with fierce winds and scorching heat fuelling the blazes.
Emergency crews reported significant overnight advances last week, though fires in Langrug and Franschhoek areas of the Boland continued to rage ‘out of control’.
Reports suggested cameras might begin rolling later this week, with production potentially resuming on Wednesday and Thursday being eyed as a fresh launch date, according to the Mirror, reports OK!.
An insider revealed to the publication: “Bosses are hoping to resume filming on Wednesday 14th January.

Programme makers have now released a new statement via social media.
Posting an update on what was meant to be the premiere date (January 12), the official Love Island Instagram account shared: “Just a reminder that the Love Island launch show has been delayed due to wild fires near the villa in South Africa.
“Everyone is safe though and we’re working on bringing you an iconic series, so keep an eye on our socials and we’ll let you know the new launch date as soon as we can.”

The lineup features fan favourites Millie Court, Shaq Muhammad and Whitney Adebayo. Two of last year’s contestants, Helena Ford and Tommy Bradley, are also amongst those anticipated to return for the fresh series.
Love Island: A decade of love aired instead of the series launch on Monday, showcasing memorable participants from the programme’s ten-year history coming together once more.
