The talented Cumbrian was set to fight Danny Costello in Manchester later this month.
But the super-welterweight contest has been shelved after an injury to heavyweight Moses Itauma, who was due to top the bill at the Magnificent 7 show on whose card Carrigan featured.

Promoters Queensberry announced that, with Itauma no longer able to fight Jermaine Franklin as planned on January 24, the entire show at Co-op Live has been put back to March 28, at the same venue.
Queensberry said Itauma suffered the injury during his camp in preparation for the Franklin fight.
It means 18-year-old Carrigan must wait to build on his impressive start to life in the professional game.
The Border City Amateur Boxing Club product made short work of Dawid Przybylski in his pro debut fight in Glasgow in October.
Carrigan, who now trains at the Tenacity gym in Hartlepool, won by first round stoppage.
The Todhills boxer, who won a host of international, national and regional belts during his amateur career, was then lined up to take on West Midlands boxer Costello.
The latter is returning to the pro scene after two years away.
Carrigan has been tipped for big things in boxing, having been snapped up by Frank Warren’s Queensberry when turning pro last year. He is also managed by the legendary American, Shelly Finkel.
