Jodie in Coronation Street is sparking concern amid fears she is targeting her sister Shona Platt.
The character debuted during the Corriedale crossover with Emmerdale, before later episodes of Corrie confirmed she was Shona’s sibling. Shona’s still getting used to having Jodie back in her life after years apart, and feels guilty for them being estranged.
With spoilers teasing more will come out about their past, Jodie has been settling into the Platts’ home after David Platt, Shona’s husband, invited her to stay. It seems Jodie is up to something though, and she’s been eagerly trying to impress David.
Fans are fearful that the way Jodie is around him could mean she’s planning on seducing him. Viewers worry she might be out for revenge on Shona, and could tear her marriage apart.

Taking to social media, one fan posted about their concerns: “Anyone else starting to feel a hatred towards David? If this storyline goes where I think it’s going I’ll hate him forever lol.”
Another viewer predicted: “She will try to seduce him!” as a third added: “I think she will too. Really don’t like her. Think she may be trouble.”
Some fans wondered if it was to do with the sisters’ past. A theory read: “Or maybe Shona went after one of hers and she’s out for revenge! It could be interesting!”
Others wondered if Jodie wanted Shona’s life, and stealing David was a part of that plan. One post read: “I don’t think he will cheat on Shona but I do think this Jodie might try to blackmail him by saying that she’ll tell Shona he tried to sleep with her.
Another said: “I think she’s gonna try and take over Shona’s life somehow? I mean she’s already living in her house in just over a week without her knowing.”

A further fan said: “I think she will try and get David into bed,” while another posted: “oh no Jodie don’t give David that look. I’m too tired for any more affair plots at the moment.”
The theory kept on being shared by fans all in agreement. A post read: “Whatever happens Jodie please stay away from David, we don’t need more cheating drama but there is a lovely guy next door called Ryan who sure could do with some love.”
So is Jodie out to get Shona, and will she target David as a result? Fans will have to wait and see, while next week’s episodes could shed more light on what Jodie has been hiding from everyone.
