The Polish national final for Eurovision 2026 is set to see the finalists competing through pre-recorded performances broadcast as part of a live show.

Dziennik Eurowizyjny reports that the Polish national final for Eurovision 2026 will have a different format to what was originally planned. The finalists are set to recorded their performances on February 28 and March 1 in the studio for Jaka to melodia?, with the performances then set to be broadcast on March 7. According to reporting, the participants only learned of the change in format yesterday, with Basia Giewont commenting they may not have submitted their song had the format been known earlier. The rules of the Polish selection had stated that the final would be held on February 14.

TVP originally stated that ten entries would be selected for the final. However, only eight entries have been selected. Karolina Czarnecka withdrew from competing in the selection in the hours before TVP made the participants public.

Wielki finał polskich kwalifikacji 2026 will take place on February 14. Public voting alone will decide the winner. In the case of a tie or a technical fault, a back-up jury decides the winner. The winner will represent Poland in Vienna.

Justyna Steczkowska represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with “Gaja”. Poland finished 14th in the final scoring 156 points. Poland ranked 7th in the public vote, with 139 points and 12 points from the Irish and Icelandic public.
