Programmes on MFR had been broadcast from the studios since the early 1980s.
Last March, Bauer announced it was to close the site, alongside the studios of sister station Northsound.
The company said it was moving to a mixture of remote working and shifts from a production centre in Glasgow.
The announcement came after Bauer had already opted to drop the breakfast shows from both stations.
Morning output on MFR, Northsound 1 and Tay FM was replaced by Edinburgh-based Boogie in the Morning last January.
Local teams in Aberdeen and Inverness still provide local news bulletins and sport coverage.
