One viewer theorised on X: “Clues: The Sugababes were formed thanks to Ron Tom, which ties back to Ronnie Corbett. Keisha was super young when they began, it’s like we’ve watched her ‘grow from larva to moth’. Now that they’ve reunited, she’s back where she belongs ‘Returned to her rightful field’.”

Another wrote: “Moth’s got to be Keisha from Sugababes?” as a third echoed: “I think Moth is Keisha Buchanan from the Sugababes, it REALLY sounds like her!!”.

Another viewer penned: “Is the four candles clue for Moth leaning towards the 4 lineups Keisha was in for Sugababes? Original, Heidi, Amelle & original again? Either way, it’s Keisha Buchanan”.

Other potential stars that could be hiding under the disguise are Paloma Faith and Alexandra Burke – both with powerhouse voices and a connection to the West End.

Birmingham’s Superstar singer Jamelia has also been guessed, as well as Jessie J.

The Masked Singer returns to ITV tonight (Saturday January 17) at 7pm.
