Police and paramedics attended a beauty spot in north Manchester after a woman was attacked on Monday afternoon (January 19). The incident was reported in Boggart Hole Clough in Blackley at around 3.30pm.
A number of ambulances and police vehicles arrived on blue lights and could be seen lining a pathway into the park off Charlestown Road. The area was taped off for a short while amid enquiries.
It followed reports that a woman had been the victim of an attack. It’s understood she was assaulted with a weapon, but that her condition is not life-threatening.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing after the victim was taken to hospital. No arrests have yet been made in connection with the assault.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 3.30pm today, officers responded to reports that a woman had been assaulted at Boggart Hole Clough, Blackley.
“Officers attended and a woman was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.”
