Manchester United loanee Radek Vitek has gone viral on social media after making a save of the season contender for Bristol City in their game against Ipswich Town in the Championship on Tuesday. Ipswich were leading 1-0 when Vitek made a miraculous save to keep Bristol City in the game, instinctively stretching a hand to tip the ball over the crossbar when he was on the ground.
“And the goalkeeper somehow manages to keep the ball out when he had no right to,” said the commentator on Sky Sports. “That’s an incredible save from Vitek, it’s outstanding,” added the co-commentator.
Ipswich claimed three points with a 2-0 victory, but Vitek has been lauded for the stunning save. The 22-year-old has been a revelation on loan at Bristol City and continues to go from strength to strength.

Although Vitek was recently sidelined for five games due to a knee injury, he has made 23 starts in the Championship this season, aiding his development in a competitive environment.
Senne Lammens was signed for £18.2million from Royal Antwerp in the summer transfer window, but Vitek could potentially challenge Lammens for his starting position when he returns to Old Trafford.
In November, Vitek said: “It would be a dream to play for Manchester United, but I will take it game by game, and I know there’s a big challenge in front of me, but I want to improve every week.”
Vitek delivered a man-of-the-match performance in United’s opening pre-season friendly against Rosenborg in 2024, but he didn’t join this summer’s tour of the United States because he was due to leave on loan
The goalkeeper signed a new United contract until 2028 before joining Bristol City on loan.
