Hull FC head coach John Cartwright has named a 23-man squad to take on Huddersfield Giants in Brad Fash’s testimonial match this Sunday afternoon.
The first run out for the Black and Whites in 2026, Cartwright has opted for a predominately young side, with a more senior outfit expected away at Wigan Warriors next week. However, there are still some senior players among the squad this week, including four of the club’s new recruits in Harvie Hill, Sam Lisone, Arthur Romano, and Connor Bailey.
Elsewhere, Fash is joined by fellow first-team players Yusuf Aydin, Callum Kemp, Will Hutchinson, Will Kirby, Lloyd Kemp, Matty Laidlaw, Joe Ward, and Hugo Salabio. Several of the club’s part time reserves players complete the squad alongside some academy talent, including Rio Kassim and Jon Turner, who have been training alongside the first team, and Caleb Paleaaesina, son of former Hull player Feka Paleaaesina.
The game kicks off at 2pm at Hull Ionians’ Brantingham Park, with Fash’s testimonial shirt to be worn. Hull then head to Wigan on Sunday 1 February for Liam Marshall’s testimonial match and are then in Challenge Cup action against either Hammersmith Hills Hoists or Salford RLFC the following week.
