Fans are waiting with baited breath for the finale of series four of The Traitors, but the winner may have already been revealed. The fourth series has been airing since 1 January and featured several new twists, including the introduction of a Secret Traitor.
This year, fans have been rooting for the show’s villains, with only Rachel and Stephen left on team Traitor. Such fans may be in luck, as experts have predicted that Rachel will walk away with the entire cash prize this year.
Body language expert Darren Stanton has said that Rachel is a master of the ‘dark art’ of deception and sending subtle signals that would ensure she would get through to the end without detection. While Rachel has managed to go undetected and dodge some huge landmines so far, it’s believed she will make it all the way with her cunning guise.

Talking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren said: “Rachel is able to suppress her emotions really well,” he said. “She’s a serious contender to win. No over exaggeration of eye contact and she’s very manipulative.
“Rachel adopts this gesture which I call dark art body language and she is very good at planting seeds and that’s why she’s navigated herself through in the process so far.”
Darren explained that gestures Rachel is doing like open palms and avoiding folding your arms were signs that someone is telling the truth and could therefore make it easier for her to fend off accusations.
He said: “There are some body language gestures that suggest someone is telling the truth – including open palm gestures. Not showing any defensiveness, such as not crossing your ankles and not folding your arms is another telltale sign. Eye contact should be around three to five seconds. Anything more than that tends to feel weird.
“Some people are naturally introverts. Smiling is the most fake emotion that humans have. This idea of a genuine smile and engaged face – these are all things that contribute to someone having a trustworthy face. It’s also important for people to trust their gut instinct.”

Rachel has certainly won over many viewers, having taken a dominant role in the Traitors turret since the start. Speaking about both her and her co-conspirator Stephen on X, one fan said: “I absolutely love them. Ten out of ten, no notes. The best team of Traitors we’ve ever had. Like two cats with eighteen lives. Give one or both of them all the money. Send them on Celebrity Coach Trip. Put their heads on 2p coins.”
Another added: “Didn’t think I’d be saying this, but I am most definitely rooting for the traitors at this point Not only have they gotten themselves out of disastrous moments of suspicion unscathed, they are just simply playing a much smarter, better, and more entertaining game.”
Rachel has shared how she would spend the prize money if she won. She revealed that she hopes to create memories with her mother, who has Parkinson’s and faces the challenges of dementia.
The Northern Irish communications specialist said she would take her mother on an all expenses paid family holiday. She told her co-stars: “Mummy was just 47 when she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, four years older than I am now, and faces dementia, but still amazes me and my family every single day.”
She added: “I just want to create memories with her while I’m still lucky enough to have her, and to create memories with my kids, because they just love their nanny.” It has also been revealed that Rachel’s father, Raymond Mullen, died in 2016 when he was 67.
The Traitors continues tonight on BBC One at 8pm
