It’s been revealed that thousands of Afghans have been secretly settled in the United Kingdom after their personal details were accidentally leaked in one of the worst security breaches in British history.
The leak put those Afghans  — many of whom had helped international forces during their occupation — at risk of reprisals from the Taliban, after their return to power.
Those fears propelled the former conservative government in the UK to set up a secret scheme to bring them to Britain. Only now has the UK High Court agreed to lift the so-called super injunction allowing the media to report on the relocation scheme for the first time.Â
