The Government will transfer €5.5 billion to the Social Security Financial Stabilisation Fund (FEFSS), the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security announced, stressing that this is “is the largest amount ever”.
“For the second consecutive year, the Government will make a non-mandatory transfer of Social Security balances to the FEFSS, this time in the amount of €5.5 billion,” said the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, Rosário Palma Ramalho, who is being heard in the Assembly of the Republic.
The Minister also pointed out that this “is the highest amount ever” and that it allows for “strengthening the protection of all pensions”.
