The penultimate episode of BBC game show The Traitors aired tonight (January 22), bringing with it the shock exit of one star just moments in.
After flying under the radar with the Faithfuls for most of the game, Rachel found herself the target of Faraaz on Wednesday night. Following a sudden realisation about ousted Traitor Fiona rarely having one-to-one chats and pulling Rachel for one in the past, he told his fellow players and Rachel directly that he now suspected her of being a Traitor.
Despite Faraaz being one of two names mulled over by the Traitors for murder, it was revealed this evening that Stephen and Rachel had opted to murder Roxy instead in a surprise move, implicating James in the process.
It followed the Round Table that saw Matthew banished, with James leading the charge against his fellow Faithful. He had wielded two votes as a result of being handed the dagger advantage from the Traitors, but his insistence on using it against Matthew drew further suspicion from his fellow players.

After learning of her fate at the hands of the Traitors, Roxy expressed her desire for Stephen and Rachel to win the show, believing they were both Faithfuls.
“I’m so proud of myself for getting this far,” she said. “I would love for Stephen or Rachel to win. I think they’re both amazing people and I think they, hopefully, are being Faithful and honest throughout the process but honestly, it has been a ball.”
Despite their pact of not writing each other’s names on their slates, Rachel and Stephen agreed in the turret that they could no longer defend each other in front of the Faithfuls with the number of players now so low. Stephen was quick to bring up Rachel’s name to Jack at breakfast in an effort to get a head start on his fellow Traitor.
