Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has finally spoken out about her decision to leave the world famous band in her new documentary which is due to be released next month

Jesy Nelson has tearfully admitted why she has rarely spoken about her decision to leave Little Mix in a candid teaser for her documentary.
The singer, 34, shot to fame in 2011 alongside bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirwall and Perrie Edwards – making X Factor history as they are the only girl band to have won the talent show. Jesy was in the band for nine years before she announced her decision to leave – after privately facing years of difficulties as she was cruelly subjected to trolling, with the high profile job putting pressure on her mental health.
At the time, Jesy announced her decision with a statement, but hasn’t spoken out about her experience within the band since – meanwhile her former bandmates Perrie, Jade and Leigh-Anne have touched on Jesy’s exit.

After years of silence it appears Jesy is poised to speak out in her upcoming Amazon Prime documentary as a trailer dropped for the doc yesterday – alongside an emotional announcement from Jesy.
In the video teaser for the show, Jesy admits: “I’ve just always wanted to entertain people, it feels magical and then, very quickly, it isn’t.” She then adds of her decision to leave Little Mix as archive footage of her time in the band is shown: “I’ve just always stayed quiet because I was the one that left.”
The montage shows clips from her time in the band, before she declares: “I’ve really struggled keeping all of this in… Now I’m ready to tell my side of the story.” As well as her split from Little Mix, the documentary is also set to cover Jesy’s pregnancy with her twins, after suffering a rare complication called Twin-to-Twin Transfusion syndrome before the birth of daughters Ocean and Story, who have sadly been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA Type 1).

Jesy opened up more about the documentary, which is due for release on February 13, in the caption of the Instagram share. As she penned: “Isn’t it crazy how the universe works, and how it’s all divine timing? Last year, I decided that when I fell pregnant, I wanted to document everything. I wanted to let cameras into my life and my home, and film what I thought was going to be a really exciting, fun little experience into motherhood that me and my girls could one day sit down and watch back for memories when they are older.
“But little did I know the journey I was about to embark on. From being told I was having twins, to then finding out I had TTTS, a rare condition that affects only a small percentage of identical twins and that my babies’ survival rate was next to nothing without treatment, to then living in hospital for three months, having my babies early, and being on the neonatal ward for over a month. Bringing them home honestly felt like a dream, like we were finally out of the trenches.”It has honestly been one of the hardest, most painful times in my life that I’ve ever had to go through, let alone document. I’m so incredibly proud of this docu-series, and I cannot wait for my fans, and for everyone who has followed my journey, to see this,” she added. “I’ll be completely honest… I’ve only ever watched this series once because it’s genuinely too emotional for me to watch right now. But when I did watch it, I saw everything through a completely different lens, now knowing what I know about my girls and their diagnosis. Nobody could have ever prepared me for what was about to come when I started filming.”Jesy continued: “But one thing I do know when watching it is how incredibly proud I am of my girls, and how utterly inspiring they are; from their resilience, their strength, their constant fight, and their sheer happiness that they show me day in, day out.” She penned: “There may well come a time in the near future when my beautiful girls turn to me and say, ‘Mummy, I don’t think I can do that,’ and if that day ever comes, I’ll sit them down in front of the TV and play them this footage. And I’ll turn to them and say, ‘My darlings, you CAN and you WILL!!!’ Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix coming to @primevideouk on 13th February”.
