Martin Talbot, Chief Executive Officer, Official Charts, says:
“Congratulations Robbie! There are chart records and there are chart records – and Robbie Williams’ achievement today in securing his record 16th UK Number 1 album is simply extraordinary.
“Not even the confident young 16-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent would have believed this were possible when he joined Take That back in 1990, but here he is, on top of the world, the UK’s number 1 album artist – of all time! Just let that sink in, Robbie!”
Robbie’s record-breaking feat comes ahead of the 70th anniversary of the Official Albums Chart, launched in the UK in July 1956. Stay tuned to Official Charts this summer for a season celebrating the art of the album.

Elsewhere in the Top 5, it’s a career-best for Madison Beer with her third studio album locket in at Number 3, marking her first UK Top 10 appearance. The New York-born star previously enjoyed Top 40 success with 2021 debut Life Support and 2023’s Silence Between Songs, both of which peaked at Number 28.
Huge congratulations go to Nathan Evans, too, as the Scottish singer-songwriter bags a new best with collaborative SAINT PHNX record Angels’ Share (4). Nathan and SAINT PHNX also top this week’s Official Scottish Albums Chart.
Nottingham punk duo Sleaford Mods score a fifth Top 10 album with 13th collection The Demise of Planet X, in at Number 6. The pair – Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn – also top the Official Vinyl Albums Chart.
Don’t Be Dumb earns Harlem multihyphenate A$AP Rocky a fourth UK Top 40 album (8), joining 2013’s LONG.LIVE.A$AP (7), 2015 record AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP (10) and 2018’s TESTING (11).

Following his BRITs Breakthrough Artist of the Year nomination, Liverpudlian rapper EsDeeKid’s on the up, with his debut LP Rebel lifting five places (11).
Bristol-born blues singer Elles Bailey nets a second Top 40 album with self-funded release Can’t Take My Story Away (14). The record also tops this week’s Official Record Store Chart, named the best-seller of the week in UK independent record shops.
Reacting to the news, Elles Bailey tells Official Charts:
“As an independent artist to have my name surrounded by massive artists is amazing.
“I’ve come out of a grassroots story, playing gigs to absolutely no one. I did that for a long time and, gradually, more and more people have come to the party. I just feel so well supported by such an incredible fan base.
“The fact that people have allowed me to fan-fund my album so that I get to make the music I want to make is incredible. Because of their meaningful support, I get to make honest and vulnerable music. I’m so grateful for it, thank you.”
And finally, as he ushers in his KISS ALL THE TIME. DISCO, OCCASIONALLY. era with brand-new single Aperture, two Harry Styles records benefit from a boost this week. 2022’s Harry’s House vaults an incredible 103 spots (32), while 2019’s Fine Line (84).
