The Traitors champion Rachel has joked that her husband is “rethinking their marriage” after she deceived the Faithfuls on the BBC programme.

Rachel, who claimed victory alongside Stephen last night, joined BBC Radio 2, where she discussed her journey with Romesh Ranganathan.

Nevertheless, Rachel later quipped that her husband is reconsidering their relationship after her duplicitous behaviour was laid bare throughout the series.

During her BBC Radio 2 appearance, Romesh questioned her: “There were a few moments of you telling quite lengthy lies, like when you chatted to Faraaz to swing him, or were saying ‘Don’t take this away from’.

“A lot of the time, when people are lying, they want as little time on the ball as possible, but you were quite ok with it. Are people in your life less likely to trust you going forward now, do you think?”

Rachel responded: “Yeah, I think my husband is rethinking our whole marriage.”

“Well, good luck to him, he’s got no idea what’s going on,” the radio presenter subsequently joked.

It has also emerged that Rachel and Stephen remain in limbo, awaiting their prize money, despite their triumph on the show.

The show is recorded months before transmission, which means it takes substantial time for the programme’s producers to handle the full payment.

Rachel and Stephen also appeared on today’s BBC Breakfast, where they spoke with Rachel Burden and Charlie Stayt about their future plans, with Rachel joking that she is “going to sleep for two weeks”.

Stephen explained, “I mean, it’s really hard, obviously, right now my head is still in the clouds.

“I’ve got no idea what’s going on, I don’t know what life looks like after this, I’m still just trying to get my feet back on the ground and see where things take me from there. I’ve got no concrete plans for anything at the moment, really.”

Rachel added, “Yeah, I’m going to sleep. I’m going to put my feet up, I’m going to take a couple of weeks off, I’m going to put my feet up and sleep and not have any lies and secrets and just relax. That’s my immediate plan.”
