Manchester United blew Manchester City out of the water in Carrick’s first match as interim manager before producing another stunning performance against Arsenal.
Arsenal took the lead in the first half after Lisandro Martinez put the ball in the back of the Man Utd net, but the Red Devils rallied back before the half-time whistle.
United pulled level against Arsenal after Bryan Mbeumo netted a key equaliser before Patrick Dorgu scored from a sensational strike after the break.

Arsenal rallied back against Manchester United late in the second half and Mikel Merino cancelled out the lead that Patrick Dorgu had provided the Red Devils.
Michael Carrick’s men had the last laugh on the night after second-half substitute Matheus Cunha restored United’s lead three minutes after Mikel Merino’s effort.
The United interim head coach brought on the likes of Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Noussair Mazraoui in the second half as key substitutions on Sunday.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Roy Keane hailed the “big influence” of the players who came off the bench for Man Utd in the second half against Arsenal at the Emirates.
“Brilliant second-half performance,” he said.
“Considering where they are and where they have been, they had a bit of swagger and calmness to their play.
“Two brilliant strikes and players off the bench had a big influence.”

Keane has taken aim at Carrick since the Man Utd interim head coach returned to Old Trafford after the sacking of Ruben Amorim as the Red Devils’ manager.

“You see the United fans in the corner, it’s a bit like the old guys,” Keane continued.
“Carrick’s done really well. Two brilliant performances. They showed real quality.”
United have now climbed to fourth place in the Premier League table and the Red Devils are one point ahead of fifth-place Chelsea after the result at the Emirates.
