The M6 in the West Midlands is closed Northbound between J6 (Birmingham) and J7 (Great Barr) due to a serious collision.
This serious incident has prompted a large emergency services response, though the investigation work is being led by West Midlands Police.
National Highways traffic officers are on scene assisting with full carriageway closures and traffic management measures.
The road has been shut for more than four hours and an exact reopening time has not yet been given.
Any injuries as a result of the collision are not yet known.
