Apple pushed out a series of maintenance updates for older iPhones and iPads today, arriving alongside the release of iOS 26.2.1 and watchOS 26.2.1. The software patches vulnerabilities on devices that can’t run iOS 26, extending support back to models like the iPhone 5s and original iPad Air.

Apple Releases iOS 18.7.4, 16.7.13, 15.8.6, and 12.5.8 for Older Devices

The updates available today include:

● iOS 18.7.4 and iPadOS 18.7.4 (Build 22H218)
● iOS 16.7.13 and iPadOS 16.7.13 (Build 20H365)
● iOS 15.8.6 and iPadOS 15.8.6 (Build 19H402)
● iOS 12.5.8 and iPadOS 12.5.8 (Build 16H88)

Specific security notes for these builds have not been published yet, but releases like this are usually deployed to fix critical security flaws that may be actively exploited. Apple recommends all users on these older versions install the software immediately to keep their devices secure.
