Blue Lights fans, this is not a drill – Gerry is back!
Hearts were broken back in series one of the hit Belfast police drama when cool-headed cop Gerry Cliff, played by Richard Dormer, died while on duty.
On Tuesday, it was confirmed that Gerry will return from the dead for an episode, which will “answer important questions from the past” alongside Hannah McClean as former cop Jen Robinson and Jonathan Harden as disgraced former Inspector, Jonty.

While it appears that he will only return in a flashback form, we are excited to see him back on our screens for series four.
Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson, co-creators and co-writers, said: “We’re very excited to bring this series of Blue Lights to audiences.
“It reveals a lot of dark secrets, examines what justice looks like in Belfast today, and ties together the past, present, and futures of Grace, Annie and Tommy in an action-packed story. We can’t wait to start filming it!”

Three years into their jobs as response officers, in series four, we see Constables Grace Ellis, Tommy Foster, and Annie Conlon operating at their limit, facing a new threat on the streets that the police can barely control.

The multi-award-winning show once again stars Siân Brooke, Martin McCann, Katherine Devlin, Nathan Braniff, Joanne Crawford, Andi Osho, Frank Blake, Abigail McGibbon, Dearbháile McKinney and Andrea Irvine.
The cast also sees the return of Cathy Tyson who plays private members club owner, Dana Morgan and Michael Smiley as C3 intelligence officer Paul ‘Colly’ Collins who we met in series three.
The 6 x 60’ series, for BBC iPlayer and BBC One is co-created, written and executive produced by Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson, co-created and produced by Stephen Wright, Two Cities Television and co-created and co-produced by Louise Gallagher, Gallagher Films with support from Northern Ireland Screen.
