Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street’s Theo Silverton chose a new target in his bid to gain control over his boyfriend Todd Grimshaw.
In recent weeks Theo has been taking out his frustrations on his boyfriend, turning nasty and asserting control over his partner whenever he feels Todd’s attention is elsewhere.
In Wednesday’s (30 July) episode, Theo issued Todd a manipulative ultimatum, telling him that he would leave their relationship unless Todd slept on the sofa. In tonight’s episode, Todd tried to play things down after Billy called round to find him bedding on the sofa.
Explaining that his estranged wife Danielle is now with Noah, the man who subjected Theo to conversion therapy, Todd explained to Billy that Theo is no longer allowed to see his children.
Billy convinced Todd to meet Danielle at the bistro, where Todd implored her to let Theo see his kids, saying: “He’s a good dad. If he can’t see his kids you’re not just punishing him, you’re punishing them as well.”

Danielle started to slowly come around to the idea until Todd reminded her that Theo has legal rights, making a snide dig about Noah in the process.
Following his remarks about “nutty Noah”, Danielle became defensive and Todd realised that he had blown his chance at finding a middle ground.
Meanwhile, at no.11, Theo told Todd that Danielle had decided to stop all contact, leaving Todd feeling terrible. Theo railed at Todd for going behind his back and making matters even worse.
Theo was also furious to discover that Billy had been to meet Danielle with Todd. Todd explained that he was trying to help and Theo screamed at him, saying that the pair had “failed miserably”.

Later, Billy told Theo that it was all his idea and Theo told Todd not to “take the advice of that Vicar again”.
When Billy popped in hoping to make amends, Theo lied, making out that Todd was in the shower and ushering Billy out the door.
When Todd came down the stairs, Theo said that Billy had to rush off. Will Theo’s attempts to come between Todd and Billy work?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
