Big Dogs, the crime drama branded “phenomenal” and a “must-watch”, is now streaming in the UK.
Based on Adam Dunn’s More novel series, the show centres around the shady world of illegal drug smuggling, taking place in an alternate version of New York City.
Renny, a young fashion photographer, makes good money by moving drugs through a network of taxicabs. But he finds himself in a dangerous situation when his boss Reza forces him to step up his game.
Meanwhile, Detective Sixto Santiago works with undercover taxis to try to shut down the illegal operation. However, the detective is partnered with mysterious newcomer Everett More, who he quickly learns is anything but a cop.
Big Dogs originally aired for a single season back in 2020, but audiences in the UK and Ireland can view the crime drama on Prime Video, with seven instalments recently being added to the streamer.

Curiously, only seven of the eight episodes are available to view, with the second part – titled ‘As Seen on TV’ – currently not on the streamer. We’re not sure why this is the case, but here’s hoping to it being rectified soon.
The series, created by Dunn, stars Michael Rabe, Brett Cullen, Micheál Richardson, Louis Carbonneau and Declan Michael Laird in the lead roles, with Lance Henriksen appearing in a recurring capacity.
It currently boasts an impressive audience score of 81% on Rotten Tomatoes from 16 reviews, with fans praising the “multi-layered” narrative and “diverse cast”.
“This is a phenomenal series. The storyline is great and very creative. Characters have a lot of depth and the continuation of character development flows seamlessly from one episode to the next,” wrote one fan.

“A must watch! This is different than any other police/crime shows I have seen. Loved watching such a diverse cast deliver amazing acting. Relevant to the reality we are living now,” added another.
A third echoed: “Amazing series! Super fun watch and multi-layered! After each episode I kept coming back for more of the post apocalyptic New York City vibes. If you love a good mystery with a balance of action and some comedy, this is definitely a show to check out.”
Big Dogs is streaming on Prime Video.
